One of the most ancient human activities is hunting. In ancient times it was a source of food, clothing and a guarantee for the development and survival of humankind. With the appearance of agriculture in its two varieties, plant-growing and livestock breeding and especially the sedentary way of life led to the disappearance of hunting as a way to survive. Hunting of game became a privilege of the wealthy men, sport and hobby. Hunting trophies decorated the castles and palaces and became an integral part of the interior of the house of kings and nobles. Possession of rich hunting collections is a matter of honor for many natural history museums around the world.
